Consumable and Farmable Assets - HORTALIUS

A selection of consumable and farmable assets created for Brain and Nerd's open-world exploration game, HORTALIUS.

Working closely with the Art Director for feedback, creating these assets were less of a challenge with them being player scale, rather than world scale. The "semi-realistic" style was used to keep visual consistency. Farmable assets were designed to be cooked, such as the potatoes and baked potato, or cooked steak. Others such as the energy bars, can be collected by the player and are ready-to-eat.

All assets were modelled in Blender from a High-Poly model, to a Low-Poly model and baked and textured in Substance 3D Painter. These were then imported into Unity and set up as a prefab ready for use by the programming team in-game.
